Philosophy

I offer violin lessons for students ages six through adulthood, from complete beginners to advanced players. My teaching is rooted in the belief that anyone can learn to play the violin, and that every student brings a unique set of strengths, challenges, and goals. 

Lessons include a strong foundation in classical technique and repertoire, along with opportunities to explore fiddle tunes and improvisation. Each student receives a personalized approach designed to help them progress with confidence and enjoyment. Whether your goal is to play for personal enrichment or to pursue music more seriously, I provide guidance and support every step of the way.  Beyond musical skills, learning the violin can foster creativity, perseverance, problem-solving, and collaboration—skills that extend far beyond the lesson.

I work best with students who are curious, engaged, and willing to grow over time—whether they’re learning for enjoyment or with serious aspirations. For younger students, parent involvement is an important part of the learning process. A supportive, encouraging presence at home makes a meaningful difference, while allowing the student space to develop independence and confidence.
